I had been looking for an instructor for months, and to be honest, I was quite hesitant about it all – I’d heard nothing but bad stories from my friends, of unfriendly, stern instructors, who’s teaching styles never seemed to work, fail after fail. This was my idea of a driving instructor – not appealing!
Then I came across Dave… and let me tell you, it’s been an absolute pleasure!!!
I started my lessons with him in April 2023, and managed to pass, first time, yesterday (October 2023) with 4 minors.

Well what can I say about Dave…
Not only is he an amazing teacher, he is probably one of the loveliest people I’ve met, so warm and friendly, with a great sense of humour!😆
His bright, friendly personality puts you at ease, making learning seem almost effortless.
Our first lesson was amazing. Dave made me feel so relaxed, before I’d even stepped in the car! I came away from that lesson feeling a huge sense of achievement, and was already so excited for my second lesson!! I couldn’t believe (and nor could my family when I told them) how much i’d managed to achieve in just one, hour and a half lesson!
As the weeks went by, I very quickly gained a sense of confidence on the road and realised just how much I LOVE driving!!!
Dave has an excellent way of explaining things to you, and making knowledge easy to digest and remember.
Every second spent in Dave’s car I felt so comfortable, relaxed, reassured and SAFE.

Dave, thank you so so sooooo much, I literally couldn’t have done it without you.
I’ll miss our lessons so much.

He is professional and knows exactly how to teach you, he always had good and simple advice, very effective. i would highly recommend learning to drive with Dave as before  my lessons  i was so nervous about starting to learn to drive but learning with Dave was the best thing i could have done !

Dave  holds hope and confidence in all of his pupils. He helps you step out of your comfort zone without pushing  you too far as to cause you distress, and will always remain calm. I passed on my first test thanks to Dave and  I was able to feel comfortable and confident while doing so.

I joined Dave after failing two tests. He helped my sister pass first time and took me on.

Dave was very helpful and calm when teaching me the best techniques. He is funny, easy to get on with and a great teacher.
